Hi, I’m Stacey Levine-Lavely and I live in Shrewsbury and represent the families of the Worcester DDS area.
I have a son, Jagger who is the love of my life! Jagger was diagnosed with Autism on February 11, 2005. I was in a room full of people yet had never felt so scared and alone. Several tear-filled months later I found the Autism Resource Center where I took the Autism 101 workshop series and learned how to navigate the sometimes treacherous waters of "Autism World".
Since then, I have learned to live with, accept and cope with the diagnosis and more importantly, become part of a family - The Autism Resource Center family. In this family, I have witnessed everyday miracles as I watch my child and others like him achieve what no one thought possible from sensory gyms to music therapy, to fun community outings and more.
The inspiration your families have given me allows me to go on each day and is why I continue to serve on the Family Advisory Board. I enjoy being part of the process of bringing high quality educational and recreational opportunities to our families and seeing our kids integrated into the community at large.
In the recent past, I have chaired two golf tournaments, our 10th Anniversary Gala and two “Do Your Piece” Awards Dinners. It is magical the way that parents, staff and the community comes together for these events to support all of our amazing kids.
I look forward to meeting you at an upcoming event
Family Advisory Board member since 2006
