"My children are gaining life-long memories of going to summer camp that they might not otherwise have, to look back on, learn from, and share those memories with friends and family."
Family Fun Days At Camp!
Our families enjoy a one-of-a-kind, real-life camp experience
For ten years, our Center has presented the only full-day, 'fun-only' camp experience for children with autism and their families in Massachusetts. For over 300 participants during each of the 2 weeks of camp each summer, it is the most exciting event of the year.
Family Fun Days will take place this year the week of June 20-24th and the week of August 15- 19th, during those weeks before and after traditional camps and summer therapeutic programs run. Due to the late end of school dates this year, we will run from 1 PM- 8 PM in June allowing families to still enjoy kicking off the summer with friends. The program is open only to families supported by the Center. Each day includes arts & crafts, swimming, boating, entertainers (including animal experts, clowns, musicians, adventurists), archery and more. The week wraps up with an evening barbecue and family talent show, and in August we host an overnight campout.
Our children endure countless hours of challenging and often un-exciting therapy all year long. Most traditional camps aren't able to accomodate children with challenging behaviors and clinical needs. At Family Fun Days we strive to make a therapy-free, stress-free experience that is just like any other camp. And, since parents are required to stay and siblings are welcome to join us, camp provides what can be a rare experience: time for the family to enjoy each other, stress-free.

Don't take our word for it: here's what families are saying about our Family Fun Days:
"It's a great chance to make friends and know that you are not judged, but most amazing is the kids are comfortable so they don't seem different." -Joyce
"My favorite moment at a FFD was kayaking beside my child (in two kayaks) in the morning with no other boats on the smooth calm water. It was peaceful and non-confrontational, which was a nice moment to remember! " - Geneva
" the first time I saw my sons kayaking by themselves, I couldn’t believe it!" - Peggy
"My children love it because they they can be themselves and be accepted." - DonMarie
"The first year changed our life. Just being surrounded by everyone in similar situations made us feel welcome, normal, like the good parents we knew we were. We could let our kids just be kids and experience kid stuff, like they should be able to. Everyone is so supportive and wonderful." - Carrie
