Hi, I am Brian Kovalski. My son, Alex, was born in 2007 and was diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder in 2013. We live in Clinton, MA, and I’ve served as the Family Advisory Board representative since 2015. Alex presently attends the CABI School in Worcester.
I’m proud to say that I’m 2-for-2 as a member of the Center’s 500-Club. I am also a graduate and mentor of the MFOFC’s Family Leadership Series. I’ve earned my BS and MBA from Bridgewater State University and am an Area Manager at Verizon Communications.
My family was referred the Autism Resource Central on the same day as the diagnosis and from that point on, we have been blessed with a plethora of information and opportunities. We have taken advantage of several events including the Christmas Party, Sharks & Bravehearts games, and the overnight Havvago experience. We’ve also participated in many of the programs that the Autism Resource Central has referred us to: New Horizon Karate Center, InSync, etc. The sense of community and the amount of support are among the most important benefits that the Center and its staff have provided to me over the years.
My favorite part about our Central region’s center is the network of people who reside here. Please connect with me and others in the center; it’s truly a cooperative effort. I look forward to meeting you or seeing you again.
