Our Community Walk/Run for Autism Awareness: A Decade of Dedication, is about to launch its campaign, and you are not going to want to miss this! This is our biggest event of the year, and plans are well underway. Great People Doing Great Things - Special Events in Support of our Center
Many of our Center families, friends and business supporters organize special events to assist us in our goals of raising funds for programs and awareness in the community.
Kelly Carey submitted our name for consideration as a holiday gift recipient with her employer, Key Impact Sales & Systems. A generous donation was received in November. Thank you, Kelly!
We received a check on December 14th from Donna Lee Perry, who started an angel business recently (www.bbsangels.com) and is donating a portion of her profits for each angel to the Center. Thank you, Donna!
BIG THANKS to Robin Yalian, Center member, who requested that proceeds from Acosta New England's 'Charity Jeans Day' event in September go to the Center! Great job, Robin!
September 19, 2009 - Worcester
St. Vincent ER staff played a fundraising game of softball against the OR staff raising awareness for the Center and the proceeds of over $1,000.00 were donated to the Center. Our Thanks to parent and St V's staffer Kim Athanassiades for organizing this event. ER staff won the game!
October 11 - Devens, MA
5th Annual Devens Charity Chili Cook Off - we are so grateful to our friends, John and Elaine Gailey at the Devens Grill for making this annual event a huge success for the Center - they donated all proceeds, totalling over $5,000.00 from this great day to us!
October 17 - Auburn, MA
Melissa Scanlon, one of our Center members, recognized an opportunity to raise awareness of the Center and arranged to operate a booth at the Auburn Town Festival. Lots of new friends were made, it was a great day!
October 30-November 2 - Marlborough, MA
Organizers of The Folk Art Festival of New England chose the Center as a co-recipient of their weekend raffle taking place at the Royal Plaza Trade Center: Friday 5-9pm, Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm
BIG THANKS to Karen Hicks who ran a month-long Yankee Candle sale in October to benefit the Center through her home business! This was Karen's second time holding a benefit sale and we so appreciate her generosity!
