Have you ran another race longer than 7 miles?
The longest race I’ve ever ran was last October, I ran a half marathon at Hampton Beach with my friend Kathryn Newell.
What is your training routine?
I am a fitness enthusiast, I’m at the gym 6 days a week doing both weight training and cardio. The class I teach, Cardio sport really helps with races, it 50 minutes of high intensity cardio. It helps with stamina for all races, and it keeps me going. I have also been running some local 5k’s and a 6.6 miler to help train for the Falmouth road race. Kathryn Newell and I have plans to run together to train before the Falmouth Race.
What is your favorite food?
My favorite food really is chicken. I eat it every day a few times. My favorite cheat food is doughnuts and ice cream. I love specialty doughnuts and there are many new places around making fun fancy doughnuts. I also love to go out for ice cream with my family on warm days, Vanilla soft serve with rainbow sprinkles is my go to.
Do you listen to music while running? What songs are in your playlist?
When I’m running alone I love to listen to fun music that has a catchy chorus and or a fast beat. I love to get lost in the music and not think about a tough run. Some of my favorites songs to listen to are;
Another one bites the dust by Queen
Look at what you made me do by Taylor swift
and anything Britney spears
Why do you like to run?
I like to run because I love to exercise. I also love to be outside and have some grown up time. With 3 kids, running gives me time to myself and to clear my head. I also like to run with friends and catch up. I love to find new races and discover new scenic views. Different races also challenge me to push harder and achieve new goals!
