Runner Profile
I am the godmother of my 16 year-old sister, Sarah.
I was born and raised in Worcester, MA and was a three-season runner in high school.
I am a Talent Acquisition Partner at UMass Memorial Medical Center.
Have you ran another race longer than 7 miles?
My longest race was a half marathon in Worcester. Additionally, as of this June, I will have run the Newport 10 Miler for the 3rd time. I have also run other 10ks and smaller races.
What is your training routine?
I run 2-4 times per week as well as strength and conditioning 2-3 times per week.
What is your favorite food?
Pizza and ice cream!
What is your favorite time of the day to run?
Post sunset.
Do you listen to music while running? What songs are in your playlist?
Yes. I listen to anything upbeat. Lots of pop, rock and some country.
Why do you like to run?
I like to set goals for myself and truly only run throughout the summer and fall. So, it is challenging for me every year to get back in the swing of things after the winter time and start training for races. So, I would say the challenge of increasing the distance of how far I can run throughout training season is what I like the most.
My connection with Autism is that I have a family member that is on the spectrum. So this race means a lot to me.
