DESCRIPTION:See New England butterflies and tropical species from all over the world. Walk along a winding pathway. Observe butterflies sipping from flowers\, basking in the sunshine and flying freely in a natural habitat. Enjoy our koi fish and quail birds which live among the butterflies. Visit the “show and tell bench” where a staff member is always available to answer your questions and help make your visit fun. See eggs\, caterpillars or other interesting creatures up close. \nWatch a 15 minute\, continuously running video which explains the butterfly life cycle and shares fun facts. Explore exhibits where you may observe eggs\, caterpillars\, cocoons and chrysalides. DESCRIPTION:Join Cid for a 4 day Robotics Camp for teens and young adults. \nCamp will run April 18-22\, 2022 from 2:30- 4:30pm on Zoom. \nThanks to a grant from St Gobain\, we will be working with Engino Discovering STEM Structures: Buildings & Bridges\, and Mechanics: Cams & Cranks. \nThis camp will be held virtually. \nWe are also adding a weekly meeting after camp is over to continue on with the Engino Mechanics: Cams & Cranks. \nThis is also from the St Gobain grant. \nThis camp will be held May 5\, 12\, 26. DESCRIPTION:Old Sturbridge Village is a living museum located in Sturbridge\, Massachusetts which recreates life in rural New England during the 1790s through 1830s. It is the largest living museum in New England\, covering more than 200 acres. \nWe look forward to your visit! Our goals are to provide a safe environment for all staff and visitors\, use our unique outdoor environment to expand our stories of early New England life\, and to deliver the engaging\, educational experiences you’ve come to expect at Old Sturbridge Village. \nWhile you are visiting\, stop by our numerous households and see what kind of winter activities kept families busy. Our trades will be active as well\, from needlework to working at the potter’s wheel\, we use the winter to hone our hand skills.
