P-EBT, or Pandemic EBT, is a federal program. The Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA), in collaboration with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), received approval to operate this program in response to the COVID-19 related school closures. P-EBT provides food supports to help families with children who were receiving free and reduced-price school meals pay for food.
Stay tuned for updates. P-EBT cards will be mailed to eligible households soon.
HEALTH INSURANCE RESOURCES
FROM THE AUTISM INSURANCE RESOURCE CENTER
Download our COVID-19 Fact Sheet, which has ended up being a series of links to excellent resources covering the many facets of implementing telehealth for ABA in the current environment. I will note that one of the resources is a link to a fact sheet from the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers – it has one of the best overviews of considerations, and most comprehensive links to the latest policy updates from private insurers.
DDS RESPONSE TO COVID 19

Here’s an important resource for some . Parents/caregivers from anywhere in the state (possibly even from out of state) can sign up to be connected with volunteer OT, PT, SLP, etc., mostly from the schools, I believe, to provide remote consultation. The form is in English and in Spanish. Emma Fialka Feldman is a BPS special education teacher and Sophia Johansson is a leader of Mass Families Organizing for Change.
