Volunteers are a critical part of our community, and we rely on them to sustain our mission and help us maintain our programs and services. We welcome volunteers of all ages, whether you’re a student in need of community service hours, or a business owner interested in opportunities for your employees. We provide a wide variety of opportunities based on your schedule and interests. Interested in a specific project? We’ve got you covered. Want to volunteer on a weekly basis? Connect with us and we can develop a schedule.
Our advisory council serves as the voice of the families we serve. Members of the board are made up of individuals with autism, their families, and providers from the community. The board has 12 members, with at least 3 members from each DDS area in the region and 3 members at large, as well as a liaison to AFAM (Advocates for Autism of Massachusetts). The council supports the fundraising efforts of the Center and may chair or serve on subcommittees as deemed necessary.
How to Join
The advisory council isn’t looking for new members at this time. When a member resigns, a call for nominations is made in our newsletter. Potential candidates submit a letter of interest to serve to the Center Director, who shares the letter with the council for consideration.
