Vocational Consultations:
Would you like to discuss your job search process and status with a
vocational specialist who works with adults with Autism? This series provides individuals the opportunity to meet with HMEA’s Career Options Coordinator, Suzanne Wigen for tips and ideas for how to go about finding a job that is a good career match for you.
Relationships Skills Training Series:
This is a 10-week structured skills training series which uses, The Relationship Series, by YAI, as its curriculum. Classes utilize interactive approaches such as group discussion, DVD’s and role play for those who feel comfortable with the latter. This series addresses the various types and progression of relationships. This series will cover: 5 ways to tell if someone is your friend, making and developing friendships / boyfriend & girlfriend relationships / mature, respectful, responsible and healthy relationships. Thinking about Driving Series:
Have you been thinking about learning to drive? This series provides the opportunity for individuals to Enjoy studying for your drivers’ permit by joining others in answering questions on drivers’ permit practice tests. Also, discuss areas of concern regards to driving such as anxiety about driving and other issues as identified by the group.
